Directory of LBE Facilitators & Consultants:
Whether at LBE Network Meetings or in their local communities, the work carried out by the foundation leadership teams was supported by a cadre of facilitators, trainers, and consultants with expertise in dealing with diversity and equity issues within an organizational context. Some of these individuals were part of California Tomorrow's training team; while others were selected and contracted for services by foundations. In the resource directory that follows you will find brief backgrounds, contact information, and whenever possible a document that provides details of their LBE sessions.
This resource directory is by no means an exhaustive list of the training and technical assistance resources your foundation can draw on for support. For a more comprehensive listing of you may wish to consult the websites of your regional grantmakers association, any of the affinity groups in philanthropy, or the Council on Foundations. The resource directories of the publications we listed in the Bibliography of LBE Resources are also great starting points for your search. In particular, we would point you to intermediary organizations reviewed in Ilana Shapiro's Guide to Selected Training Programs (for Racial Equity & Inclusion), those listed in Rainbow Research's Improving Race Relations and Undoing Racism: Roles and Strategies for Community Foundations, and the resources listed in Building a Better Foundation: A Toolkit for Creating an Inclusive Grantmaking Organization. Finally, we at California Tomorrow would be pleased to assist you in your efforts to find training and technical support that fits your particular needs.
